As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will oversee the daily management of accounting and financial activities of the company, while ensuring all reporting & procedures comply with the regulatory requirements. Your primary duties include:
Job Duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of financial and management reporting functions, and business analysis in all financial aspects, including cash flow, tax, and budgeting.
- Review monthly accounts and quarterly GST submissions and ensure that the deadlines are met.
- Submit statutory, business statistics and other types of returns timely as required by the local tax and legal legislations.
- Oversee and liaise on day-to-day operating requirements of the business, including receipts and payment requirements, and support the resolution of all potential operating issues.
- Able to maintain a small set of accounts, prepare tax computation for dormant entities.
- Is familiar with company resolutions required under Companies Act.
- Ensure compliance with the group accounting policies and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International).
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of statutory, tax and regulatory requirements for the group of companies in a timely manner.
- Evaluate and improve on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing accounting processes, internal controls, and procedures.
- Support and work closely within and across departments to provide financial and management information.
- Manage and oversee a small team.
- Coordinate and liaise with auditors in relation to audit requirements and deliverables, including preparation of audited financial statements.
- Coordinate and liaise with tax agents in relation to tax requirements and deliverables, including review of tax computation.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis, undertake special projects as and when required.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy / ACCA or equivalent.
- Qualified CA with about 5 years’ working experience in any Big 4 preferred.
- Experience in property developer/ investment sector would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Strong technical knowledge, including Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International).
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Word. Familiarity with Sun Systems is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be a team player and a self-starter with good leadership skills.
